What will you be doing?
As a Maritime Project Buyer, you will play a leading role within projects while simultaneously managing your own categories. Within projects, you will be responsible for procuring project-specific components and maintaining oversight of order statuses. For your assigned categories, you will develop category plans, negotiate and manage contracts, and ensure that production is optimally supported.
A key aspect of this role is safeguarding delivery times, product quality, and quantities in order to achieve the most balanced solution in terms of scope, quality, and cost.
In addition, you will:

Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential new suppliers within the project structure, and subsequently negotiate and conclude contracts.

Manage existing supplier relationships by documenting, monitoring, and evaluating performance in terms of quality and quantity.

Focus on process improvement, provide both solicited and unsolicited advice, and contribute to the further professionalization of our procurement department.

You bring:

Extensive experience working in project-based environments.

A bachelor’s degree level of working and thinking, preferably in a technical or commercial field, supplemented with NEVI 1 certification.

Several years of experience as a Buyer or Category Manager.

Thorough knowledge of procurement processes and contract management.

Technical affinity, preferably within the maritime sector.
