Lead a team of Sales Engineers and make a real impact within complex naval projects. As Lead Sales Engineer at Alewijnse, you will connect customer demand and technical solutions in challenging maritime projects.
What will you be doing?
At Alewijnse, we are looking to strengthen our Sales Engineering team. As a ‘working foreman,’ you will provide functional leadership to the team of Sales Engineers. In addition, you will also contribute to and ensure the smooth and professional handling of serial and customer-specific requests for new construction, service and conversion projects. From superyachts to offshore installations, no two requests are the same. Do you enjoy technology, variety and collaboration? Then this is your opportunity.
As a Sales Engineer, you will work closely with our Account Managers and act as the link between customer demand and technical solutions. You will prepare cost calculations and quotations for electrical and automation systems in the maritime sector, specifically for the Naval segment. You will gather the relevant technical information, contribute ideas for suitable solutions and translate these into a cost calculation so that a clear proposal can be presented to the customer. In doing so, you will work together with colleagues from various disciplines and ensure that requests are handled smoothly.
In addition, you will provide functional leadership to the international Sales Engineering team. The team is growing and currently consists of seven Sales Engineers. You will report to the Manager Sales. You will be responsible for day-to-day management, dividing the work within the team and coaching the other Sales Engineers. In addition, you will monitor and improve the quality of processes, quotations and data.
